Tun Dr Mahathir rubbished DAP’s “Malaysian Malaysia” concept, claiming it reflected the party’s belief that Malaysia is presently just for the Malays.

The former prime minister said the Alliance and the BN have representation from all races is ignored and the parties share power in the Government is also ignored.

Even the opposition was trying to go the way of BN by forming its own pact. But so far they can only co-operate during elections. They now don’t contest against each other. But each party is still racist; concerned only with its own race once the election is over.

He casts aspersions on DAP’s claim to be a multiracial party, pointing out that the overwhelming majority if its members, supporters and leaders are Chinese. Their struggle is principally against anything Malay and for what they claim to be Chinese rights.

“Their disguise that they are for Malaysians is exactly that — it is a disguise. No one is taken in by their claim to be multiracial,” he chided.

He said for 50 years Barisan Nasional coalition has brought prosperity to all races, with the Chinese getting the biggest share because of their skills and ability is deliberately disregarded.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad insisted today that Malaysians are not yet ready to discard their ethnic origins by identifying themselves with only their nationality instead of their race. That day has not arrived yet. Until then, only the BN coalition can represent all races in Malaysia.

He said this was why Barisan Nasional as a coalition comprising various race-based parties like Umno, MCA and MIC, was still relevant in the country’s political landscape.

He claimed it was likely that the BN formula of combining race-based parties was responsible for bringing Malaysia years of peace while other nations with the same racial diversity languished with numerous racial and religious clashes.

“With the ensuing stability, Malaysia was able to develop and prosper. Can anyone deny that?” he said.

Dr M accused DAP destroying the Sarawak BN power-sharing formula

The former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad accused DAP of destroying the power-sharing formula that Barisan Nasional had implemented for half a century.

He wrote in his blog that the Chinese community in Sarawak has rejected multiracialism after being infected by the virus of Chinese racism that he said is the guiding principle of the DAP.

He also suggested that any DAP administration would only be ostensibly Malaysian.

“I congratulate the DAP for bringing its racist politics to Sarawak. Before this all races co-operated well with each other for the good of Sarawak. Now we see clearly that the Chinese community in Sarawak has rejected multiracialism.”

“They have become infected by the virus of Chinese racism that is the guiding principle of the DAP. If the same pattern was seen in the next general election that is expected to be held in a year, it would split the country.

Malaysia faces a grave danger of being divided by two parties — one Malay dominated by default and the other Chinese by choice. This will not be good for Malaysia. But this is what the DAP is striving for. A two-party system based on race will not contribute to stability much less national unity.

“Those Chinese who reject the DAP seem to be considered as non-Chinese by the DAP. The presence of a few Malays in the DAP is just window dressing,” he said.

He again accused the DAP of emulating Singapore’s ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) in sidelining the Malays.

“It is the same as in Singapore where the PAP government sidelined their Malay supporters completely. The Malays make up 15 per cent of the island’s population but their share of political power and wealth of this very prosperous nation is about one per cent.

“Of course, Singapore is ruled by Singaporeans. The same would happen in Malaysia should the DAP rule this country. It would be ostensibly being Malaysian”

BN could wrest one or two states, says Dr M

The opposition's leadership appeared to be falling on each other which cause opposition lands in trouble.

The far-reaching consequences seem to cause Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad predicted Barisan Nasional (BN) may win back one or two states from Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in the next general election because he says the “opposition is in shambles,” according to a Bloomberg report.

He said BN “may not get the two-thirds majority which would enable them to rule the country with a strong majority.”

He told Bloomberg in an interview here that BN “might be able to recover maybe one or two states.”

“At the moment his party is in a shambles,” Dr Mahathir was quoted by Bloomberg as saying in reference to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s PKR.

Dr Mahathir’s remarks come amid intense speculation that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will call snap polls by the first quarter of next year.

Dr Mahathir : Zaid could be likened to a frog

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said, PKR candidate Zaid Ibrahim could be likened to a frog.

"When he was in Umno, he became a minister, then he joined the opposition and now he's their candidate for the by-election.

"We should not choose and trust people who like to hop from one party to another like that.

"He doesn't gamble but he has horse races. I too have horses but they are not horse races. He admitted having horse races but said he didn't gamble. I don't understand this," Mahathir said.

He urged voters in Hulu Selangor, who will go to the polls this Sunday, to vote for the BN candidate.

He said BN had proven its capability to bring development and change to the area towards improving the people's living standard.

Mahathir said the country had progressed from the BN's administration and because its leaders worked hard for the country's development and not for personal interests.

Dr Mahathir blamed educationists do not want Chinese students to mix with Malay or Indian students

Malaysia has the unique system of having different streams of education and most of the students from Chinese primary schools graduated from government secondary schools.

Ironically, it was reported that there are about 70,000 non Chinese students studying in Chinese primary schools.

The question remains: Should the unique system of our country be preserved or otherwise?

Former premier Dr Mahathir said that only Malaysia has the unique system of having different streams of education as other countries have only one stream despite having large migrant population.

He cited United States, Canada and Australia as examples. However, he blamed the educationists for not wanting Chinese students to mix with Malay or Indian students.

He also pointed out that even Switzerland, which has three official languages, has an education system which provides for students to learn all three languages in the same school.

“That is why I introduced the vision school, which comprises three streams in one campus. That way, students of different races can at least meet each other,” he said.

However, he said that the system was rejected and that was the reason why Malaysians cannot achieve unity.

Pakatan may not sweep Perak snap polls

In politics BN may lose a battle, but BN certainly have to win the war.

Undeniably, Malaysia's ruling coalition BN is the strongest political coalition; the chances of the opposition of winning fresh elections thus seem quite slim.

Politically, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad’s perception seem to be controversial and may not be necessary correct and certainly is a highly debatable issue.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad admitted that Pakatan Rakyat will sweep Perak if fresh elections are called.

He said, it was a ‘forgone conclusion' that Pakatan Rakyat would win if an election is held.

"I think the opposition... well not the opposition... I think that Pakatan is going to win. So why have an election? We already had an election," Mahathir said.

“So why should we have fresh elections ?“ he asked, saying that it was costly and that he did not agreed will calls by other BN leaders for fresh state elections.

Mahathir slammed Nizar for defying Sultan's order to resign

Dr Mahathir slammed ousted Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin for defying Sultan Azlan Shah's order to resign.


Speaking at the public rally of the Bukit Gantang by-election, he criticized Nizar's move to award permanent land titles to villagers in the state.

"This man just wants to be popular. He gave out land to be popular," he added.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad hit the campaign trail for the Bukit Gantang by-election to endorse Barisan Nasional's Ismail Safian and launch his renewed attacks against his former deputy Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He is hoping to bring in the votes for BN.

Mahathir expressed his hope that the many members who had left the party would also return to its fold.

“Times have changed. The government today is truly for the people. So I am urging those who had left Umno, please come back,” he said, adding that he was confident that the current administration would be taking steps to address people’s unhappiness.

He also said that street demonstrations were not part of Malaysian culture and were a waste of time.

“What do we get by demonstrating on the streets, except to cause damage? Dialogue is the best way to resolve unhappiness and differences. If we are still unhappy with the government, then show it through the ballot boxes,” he added.
