Zaid has deep pockets

Switching parties is always effective or practical as it involved no principle whatsoever. It has apparent affect on the public image.

Usually, when a politician switches party, he at least manages to produce a bad public image. Such party-switching by elected officials often indicates that he has no basic political principle.

PKR Hulu Selangor candidate Zaid Ibrahim, who is former law minister and former Umno division leader, is an Umno turncoat who left the party after he had milked the party of its riches.

Deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin said that the only reason the Pakatan Rakyat coordinator was chosen as candidate because he was rich.

According to Muhyiddin, the only reason the Pakatan Rakyat coordinator was chosen as candidate because he was rich.

"This is based on the information that I have received. It is not because he can serve. I am confident that the voters want a local representative. But maybe that is PKR's own strategy and that is their right," he said.

Pertaning PKR's tendency to field candidates who eventually quit the party after being elected, he said that voters should know that Zaid has switched parties before.
