The results of the Manek Urai by-election in Kelantan clearly showed Najib's leadership and the diminishing influence of Nik Aziz.
Despite the constituency being a PAS stronghold in a PAS-controlled state, PAS would have won with a bigger majority, however managed to only winning with a mere 65-vote majority.
Mohd Fauzi, 50, polled 5,348 votes while Tuan Aziz, 39, obtained 5,283 votes.
